On August 27, the event “La Musica del cuore” (Music of the Heart) will take place to support the Qingdao Children Welfare Institute, an organization helping less fortunate children of the province of Shandong. Daniele Scarabello, managing director of the Chinese plant, is a member of the Italian Solidarity Committee in Qingdao, an organization created by Italian managers and entrepreneurs, which for the past two years has been collecting funds to support the local community. In 2010 the amount of funds collected was used to buy special equipment, useful for the cognitive development of the children hosted in the institute, personal computers and a minibus. After the concert, the Italian Week Festival will begin – a 3-day festival (28-30 August) celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Italian unification – another occasion to collect funds to support the children's home.
