A device that changes the voltage and frequency of the alternating current at the output, allowing also to modify the operating speed of an electric motor (in our case the one in the pumps). This type of function save energy since instead of working at maximum speed the motor can work at variable speeds depending on the workload. An inverter is not indispensable for the operation of the pump.
