The Venturi nozzle is a particular conformation of a pipe that utilize the Venturi (or hydrodynamic paradox) effect, the physical phenomenon discovered and studied by the Italian physicist Giovanni Battista Venturi. When a velocity increases, a fluid stream decreases in pressure . At a practical level this is a reduction in the pipe section (or in the increase of the same, in this case the pressure increases and the speed decreases). It is a component in self-priming pumps (e.g. our JET pumps).

L'ugello Venturi è una particolare conformazione di un condotto che sfrutta l'effetto Venturi (o paradosso idrodinamico), il fenomeno fisico scoperto e studiato dal fisico italiano Giovanni Battista Venturi, per cui all’aumentare della velocità una corrente fluida diminuisce la pressione. A livello pratico si tratta di una riduzione della sezione del condotto (o nell'aumento della stessa, in questo caso la pressione aumenta e la velocità diminuisce). È un componente presente nelle pompe autoadescanti (ad esempio le nostre pompe Jet).
