DAB invests in equipment for the future: the new press of DAB Mestrino- Category: Company
The new press installed at the DAB plant of Mestrino has been put into operation in January 2017. The aim of this new machine is to improve the productivity and the technological pool of our production department.
2.5 metre wide, 5 metre long, 7 metre high, 115,000 kg weight, and a 500 ton power of pressing force: these are the numbers of the new addition that will bring more flexibility and a significant increase in production capacity.
The new press is not just an important investment, but also the result of an ambitious project, which required approximately one year for its design, and a further year and a half for its starter. Seeing it in action will be for us a great reason of pride.
These are the words of Piero Zen, DAB Industrial Engineering Officer, who together with his team - which included Ruby Cegalin, Marco Bernardi, and Enzo Zuin -, brought the project to completion.
The new installation will also bring a reduction in raw material and energy consumption, confirming the long-standing commitment of the group towards better environmental sustainability.
Growth and continuous improvement are also ensured by such improvements.

DAB investe in impianti per il futuro: la nuova pressa a DAB Mestrino- Category: Company
E’ operativa da Gennaio 2017 la nuova pressa installata all’interno dello stabilimento di DAB Mestrino, un impianto finalizzato a migliorare la produttività e la tecnologia dell’intero comparto produttivo.
2,5 metri di larghezza per 5 metri di lunghezza, 7 metri di altezza, 115.000 kg di peso ed una potenza di 500 tonnellate di forza pressante: questi i numeri del nuovo impianto che consentirà di ottenere maggiore flessibilità e un significativo incremento della capacità produttiva.
La nuova pressa rappresenta non solo un importante investimento ma anche un progetto ambizioso la cui realizzazione ha richiesto circa 1 anno di progettazione ed un altro anno e mezzo per il suo avviamento. Vederla finalmente attiva sarà per noi una grande soddisfazione.
Così afferma Piero Zen DAB Industrial Engineering Officer che ha lavorato sul progetto insieme alle altre persone del team tra le quali Ruby Cegalin, Marco Bernardi, Enzo Zuin.
La nuova installazione si traduce anche in riduzione dei consumi di materie prime ed energia, confermando la direzione di una sempre maggior sostenibilità ambientale intrapresa già da tempo dal gruppo.
Crescita e miglioramento continuo passano anche da qui.

SUBMERGED PUMP FOR THE AQUEDUCT OF THE TOWN OF SAN GIOVANNI LA PUNTATHE REQUEST: SUBMERGED PUMP AND MOTOR FOR THE AQUEDUCT
For the aqueduct an SMC10 300/5E pump was supplied with hydraulic part in CAT/AISI304 cast iron, coupled to a 10” rewindable motor with the following characteristics: 200Hp 147KW V400/50-460/60, in DOL configuration and in a version with winding in PE TMSS, which allows the use of the motor in special applications and use with a frequency inverter.
The hydraulic performances covered are: Q= 5100 lt/min - H= 130 mwc.

Per l’acquedotto è stata fornita una pompa SMC10 300/5E con parte idraulica in ghisa CAT/AISI304 e accoppiata ad un motore riavvolgibile da 10”, con le seguenti caratteristiche: 200Hp 147KW V400/50-460/60, in configurazione DOL e in una versione con avvolgimento in PE TMSS, che permette l’impiego del motore in speciali applicazioni e l’utilizzo con variatore di frequenza.
Prestazioni idrauliche coperte sono: Q= 5100 lt/1’ - H= 130 mca.
