The pump is equipped with a built-in electronic control unit which manages its operation (pump ON/FF) and prevents damage. The electronics protects the pump against dry running conditions. Priming cycle: when started, the pump will perform the following operation until it is primed: four priming trials of 30” (motor ON) with pauses of 3” (motor OFF). If there is no water, i.e. if the priming trials fail, the pump will stop for an hour before trying to prime again. If also this trial fails, there will be a 5-hour pause. Afterwards, if the lack of water persists, the pump will try to prime every 24 hours until it has picked up a prime. Normal Operation: If, during the pump operation, the water supply is lower than the minimum delivery for more than 40”, the pump will go into alarm mode, and stop for 1 hour. Afterwards, if the lack of water persists, the pump will try to prime. The electronic unit also protects the pump from damage that could be caused by the blocking of the Non Return Valve (NRV). Such blockings are generally due to dirt deposits, or sand, and they cause the pump to operate even if there is no water demand from the end-user. The protection function stops the pump automatically every hour; if no damage is detected the user notices only a very slight drop in pressure. If the VNR is blocked the pump goes into alarm mode and stops. In this case the pump can be restarted only after unplugging the pump and removing the obstruction of the VNR. The best working condition is with the pump completely submersed in water. Anyway the motor’s cooling system allows use at the minimum suction height (50 mm) for very short periods. We recommend you read the Divertron instruction manual (also available on our DNA software) for all information on the use of the product.

L’elettronica comanda automaticamente l’accensione e lo spegnimento (ON/OFF) dell’applicazione in funzione della richiesta d’acqua da parte dell’utilizzatore. L’elettronica protegge l’applicazione dal funzionamento a secco. Fase di adescamento: in fase di adescamento, la pompa esegue quattro tentativi di 30” (motore ON) intervallati da pause di 3” (motore OFF). Nel caso manchi l’acqua, la pompa si ferma per un’ora e quindi fa un nuovo tentativo d’adescamento. Se tale tentativo fallisce, la pausa diventa di 5 ore, quindi l’applicazione ripete il tentativo di adescamento ogni 24 ore fino a quando il livello dell’acqua non diventi sufficiente per consentire il normale funzionamento. Normale Funzionamento Se, durante il funzionamento, per 40” secondi il consumo dell’acqua è inferiore alla portata minima, la pompa va in allarme e si ferma per 1 ora. Dopodiché, se il livello dell’acqua rimane insufficiente, la pompa entra in fase di adescamento. L’elettronica protegge la pompa dai guasti alla Valvola di Non Ritorno (NRV), generalmente causati da incrostazioni di sporco o di sabbia. Le incrostazioni impediscono alla VNR di chiudersi, quindi l’applicazione continua a funzionare anche in mancanza di acqua. Nel nostro caso, la pompa viene spenta automaticamente ogni ora; se tutto è normale, l’utente nota solo un leggerissimo calo di pressione della durata di pochi secondi. Se invece la VNR è bloccata, la pompa va in allarme e può essere rimessa in funzione solo dopo aver rimosso le cause dell’ostruzione. La situazione ideale di lavoro è con la pompa completamente sommersa; tuttavia il sistema di raffreddamento del motore ne consente, per brevi periodi, l’utilizzo fino all’altezza minima di aspirazione (50 mm). La pompa è dotata di un filtro anti-detriti in acciaio inossidabile.

The motor rotation direction may be inverted only in three-phase motor pumps (400 volt). In single-phase pumps (230 volt) the motor always turns in the correct direction. Must be clockwise, as indicated by arrow direction on the pump body.

The direction of rotation must be checked each time a new installation is made. Proceed as follows:
1. Place the pump on a flat surface;
2. Start the pump and stop it immediately;
3. Carefully observe the kick-back on starting, looking at the pump from above. The direction of rotation is correct, that is clockwise, if the protection cap moves as in the drawing (anti-clockwise).

If it is not possible to check as described above because the pump is already installed, check as follows:
1. Start the pump and observe the water flow rate.
2. Stop the pump, switch off the power and invert two phases on the supply line.
3. Restart the pump and check the water flow rate again.
4. Stop the pump.
The correct direction of rotation is the one that gives the higher flow rate.
