THE REQUEST

The Grand Hongjia Yiju Hotel Nanjing Yaosheng always has their clients at heart, especially when considering their physical and mental well-being: this is why it has chosen to cooperate with an important trading company, the Nanjing Yaosheng Mechanical and Electrical Equipment. This enterprise was established ten years ago, and it deals with the distribution of imported water pumps mainly, providing also excellent sales and after-sales services.

The project involves sewage treatment in each room of the hotel, with the total amount of 55 bathrooms: being the main drainage ditch on the basement (1st floor) and some of the rooms lower, efficient sewage lifting devices are needed in order to lift the waste to the main line. According to these needs, a GENIX 130 (flow: 3 m3/hour; head: 5 m) has been installed in each room. It is relevant to underline that the chosen product has numerous characteristics that make it unique and, most of all, reliable: first, in this hotel’s installation, the basin and the pipes have been covered in a marble box (of course, the marble panel can be opened) for an aesthetically pleasant result; second, its operation is almost completely silent – no one will notice it is working. Finally, it has a very powerful grinder and requires little and very easy maintenance.

One might say it is also thanks to this innovative installation that the hotel customers can rest, while the gentle and ancient water of the Yangze River rocks them to sleep.

Il Grand Hotel Hongjia Yiju, a Nanchino, ha da sempre molto a cuore i suoi clienti, e da sempre presta particolare attenzione al loro benessere fisico e mentale: da qui la scelta di collaborare con l’importante società Nanjing Yaosheng Mechanical and Electrical Equipment. Questa compagnia, fondata dieci anni fa, si occupa principalmente dell’importazione e distribuzione di pompe ad acqua, insieme ad eccellenti servizi di vendita e assistenza post-vendita.

Il progetto prevede il rifacimento delle toilettes dell’hotel e lo smaltimento delle acque reflue, per un totale di 55 camere: essendo l’impianto di drenaggio a livello del primo piano, e alcune camere a livello inferiore, è stata necessaria l’installazione di sistemi di sollevamento in grado di portare le acque di scarico al canale di principale. A tale scopo, è stato installato un GENIX 130 di portata di 3 m3/h e prevalenza di 5 m per ogni stanza.

E’ importante sottolineare le peculiarità che fanno di GENIX 130 un prodotto unico e, soprattutto, affidabile: innanzitutto, per questa installazione si è scelto di coprire la vasca e i tubi con un contenitore in marmo (che, ovviamente, si può aprire), per un risultato esteticamente piacevole; inoltre, il prodotto lavora in modalità silenziosa e nessuno si accorgerà che è in funzione. Infine, esso è fornito di un grinder super affilato e richiede una manutenzione minima e semplice.

I clienti dell’hotel possono così dormire sonni tranquilli, cullati dalle acque calme ed antiche del Fiume Azzurro.

THE REQUEST

A booster set to feed an irrigation system in the BALTYK commercial building using rain water from rain collecting tank after filtering or from municipal network. The Baltyk building has 16 floors and over 12000 m2 of office space, its distinguishing feature is the unconventional cascading structure, which makes the building look different on every side.

The booster is used for the irrigation of green inside and outside the building with a Drip Line, a type of micro-irrigation system that has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants. Drip irrigation systems distribute water through a network of valve, pipes, tubing and emitters. The goal is to place water directly into the root zone and minimize evaporation.

The solution is a booster set of two vertical multistage pumps driven by a variable speed drive 2 KVC AD 85/120 T, able to deliver up to 130 l/min and 75 meters head, at the best efficiency point (each pump). All components that are in contact with water are made completely by non-corrosion materials (technopolymer and stainless steel) and certified for potable water.

The VFD, the ACTIVE DRIVER PLUS is complete with a pressure sensor, and a flow valve (all built in) and it’s mounted on the delivery pipes. The pumps operate almost 7 days a week, the benefits during operation are constant pressure, low noise, stability (no hammering), energy saving (low energy costs), less water consumption and less maintenance (all protection such dry run, high and low voltage, anti-freeze are integrated inside the command and control system).

Un gruppo di pressione per alimentare un sistema di irrigazione nel centro commerciale BALTICO utilizzando l’acqua piovana dopo essere filtrata o l’acqua di rete. La struttura Poznan Baltico dispone di 16 piani e più di 12000 m2 di uffici, la sua caratteristica distintiva è la struttura a cascata non convenzionale, il che rende l’edificio un aspetto diverso da ogni parte.

Il gruppo di pressione è utilizzato per irrigare gli spazi verdi all’interno e all’esterno della struttura l’irrigazione a goccia, o micro-irrigazione è un metodo di irrigazione che somministra lentamente acqua alle piante. Questo avviene attraverso un Sistema che comprende: valvole, condotte e vari tipi di gocciolatori. L’obiettivo è quello di minimizzare l’utilizzo dell’acqua. L’erogazione per la maggiore parte delle installazioni è costante.

La soluzione è un gruppo di pressione compost da due pompe verticali multistadio controllati da variatore di velocità o inverter 2 KVC AD 85/120 T, in grado di fornire 130 l/min a 75 metri di pressione nel punto di massima efficienza (ogni pompa). La parte idraulica e tutti I component in contatto con acqua sono costruiti con materiali non corrosivi e certificati per acqua potabile (Tecnopolimero e acciai inox). Il variatore di velocità ACTIVE DRIVER PLUS è un Sistema completo di sensore di pressione, valvola di flusso (tutto in uno) ed è assemblato sulla tubazione di mandata per il raffreddamento del dissipatore.

Le pompe lavorano quasi 7 giorni su 7, I vantaggi durante il funzionamento sono la pressione costante, bassa rumorosità, stabilità, risparmio energetico, basso consumo d’acqua e meno manutenzione motore e meccanica grazie a tutte le protezioni integrate nel sistema di comando e controllo AD PLUS.

THE REQUEST

Despite Spain is supposed to be a very hot country, temperature can drop to extremely cold during winter, especially in the north. Buildings need heating systems, commonly gas burners with condensing boilers. This is the case of the condominium in Plaza de Los Tilos, near the centre of Pamplona: there are two towers with 17 floors and 96 apartments each. At the basement of the building, there is its technical room. Here, the heating system was totally renewed, with the installation of two new boilers 600 kW heat power each.

The power is apparently huge, but considering the numbers of flats it’s not that big: a single apartment usually requires a 25-kW heating capacity boiler, used for hot water recirculation and hot water for bathrooms. In this case instead, using one only central system with continuous inertial operation, the high efficiency is maintained for longer periods, peaks of energy consumption are avoided, a big energy saving is achieved.

Here the big advantage of using a central system. The only disadvantage is represented by the low flexibility and poor modulation of the system. For this reason, the use of an electronic circulator is a must, also imposed by the new European standard, in force since 2015. The installer Discale Mantenimientos S.L. chose 8 x DAB Evoplus for this important project.

Evoplus is a high-performance circulator, with flow up to 40 m3/h and head up to 15 meters (ideal pressure for buildings up to 60 meters high). Thanks to the VFD and the possibility to set parameters through the display, it can adapt to different working conditions and different installation layouts. In this case a series of 8 x Evoplus were serving different utilities with different set point.

Discale Mantenimientos S.L. is the dynamic company dedicated to design, installation, implementation and maintenance of new generation heating systems. They always propose DAB circulators, as they perform well, they are easy to use and low maintenance products. DAB has a strong presence in terms of heating systems in the north of Spain. It is a renowned brand, and many installers feel comfortable working with DAB.

LA RICHIESTA

Nonostante la Spagna sia un paese considerato da tutti molto caldo, l’inverno può essere al contrario molto freddo, specialmente nelle regioni del nord. Gli edifici necessitano di sistemi d riscaldamento, solitamente caldaie condensanti a gas. Questo è anche il caso del condominio in Piazza de Los Tilos, nei pressi del centro di Pamplona. Ci sono due torri, ciascuna di 17 piani e con 96 appartamenti. Alla base dell’edificio, c’è il locale tecnico, che ospitava le vecchie caldaie. Con una opera di modernizzazione, sono state installate due nuove caldaie con una potenza termica di 600 kW ciascuna (1200 kW termici in totale), per il riscaldamento e l’acqua calda sanitaria dei 96 appartamenti.

Nonostante la potenza termica sembri enorme, se rapportata al numero di appartamenti serviti, si scopre che non è affatto così grande. Di solito un appartamento singolo richiede una caldaia murale da circa 25 kW, mentre qui la potenza complessiva installata è molto inferiore. Il fatto è che un sistema centralizzato, con funzionamento continuo e inerziale, lavora mediamente a maggiore efficienza, senza grossi sbalzi di potenza richiesta, e quindi con un risparmio energetico superiore.

Ecco il grande vantaggio del Sistema centralizzato. Lo svantaggio è invece rappresentato dalla poca flessibilità e dalla scarsa modulazione del carico. Per sopperire a queste limitazioni, occorre utilizzare circolatori di tipo elettronico, come imposto dall’Unione Europea a partire dal 2015. L’installatore Discale Mantenimientos S.L. ha scelto 8 x Evoplus per questo importante progetto.

Evoplus è un circolatore con ottime prestazioni, grande portata (fino a 40 m3/h) e alta prevalenza (fino a 15 metri, ideale per edifici alti fino a 60 metri). Grazie all’inverter integrato e alla possibilità di configurazione dei parametri attraverso il display, Evoplus può adattarsi a differenti condizioni di lavoro e layout installativi. Nel caso specifico, gli 8 Evoplus sono utilizzati per diverse utenze, ciascuna con un diverso set-point.

Discale Mantenimientos S.L. è una azienda dinamica capace di progettare, installare e garantire sistemi di riscaldamento di nuova generazione. Loro propongono sempre circolatori DAB, poiché lavorano bene, sono facili da usare e sono affidabili nel tempo. DAB ha una forte presenza nel mercato dell’acqua calda nel nord della Spagna. THE REQUEST

The building of MAS Museum is an example of Post Modern Art Deco architecture, and it is considered itself a work of art. The red bricks of the façade are made of sandstone rock coming from India. The building is 60 meters tall, it dominates the landscape of the city in that area around the dock.

Being so high, the building requires pressurisation pumps for water supply to the highest level). The common solution for this performance is a vertical multistage pump, which, thanks to the multi-impellers working in series, it is able to reach the desired performance (required pressure is about 6-8 bar). Vertical pumps are designed for high pressure, but, in case also high flow is required, a booster set with vertical pumps working in parallel is the common solution. This is the case of MAS museum, where two booster sets with KVC were installed. KVC is a best-seller DAB product, for its good performance and efficiency. The factory assembly (including expansion tank air pre-charge and VFD setting) guarantees ease of installation and quality of operation.

In the same building, also Fekafos was installed as collection tank of waste water. Inside the tank, two pumps FEKA VS operate, alternatively or simultaneously, according the amount of water to drain. Using two pumps is the common solution, mainly for two reasons:

• to enable back-up function in case of failure or maintenance of one of the pumps
• to increase the total capacity when peaks of waste water to drain (instead of increasing the volume of the tank) Particularly, FEKA VS is another of the best products of DAB, for its extreme reliability.

Finally, the choice of the hydraulic equipment and its installation, made by the partner De Bie VEBA, was extremely good, in accordance with the state of ART. In an ART museum, it could not be otherwise.

LA RICHIESTA

L’edificio del MAS Museum è un esempio di architettura Art-Deco post-moderna, ed è considerato esso stesso un monumento da visitare. Costruito con mattoni rossi di pietra arenaria proveniente dall’India, il palazzo è alto 60 metri, e con la sua altezza domina l’ambiente circostante lungo le sponde del fiume.

Essendo così alto, l’edificio richiede pompe di rilancio per la pressurizzazione di acqua fino agli ultimi piani. La soluzione più comune prevede l’impiego di pompe verticali multistadio, che, grazie alle multi-giranti che lavorano in serie, sono in grado di raggiungere maggiori performance in termini di pressione (set point richiesto 6-8 bar). Le pompe verticali elaborano tanta pressione ma talvolta non sufficiente portata. Per aumentare il flusso elaborato, occorre installare più pompe verticali in parallelo, in quello che viene comunemente chiamato “gruppo di pressione”.

Questo è esattamente il caso del MAS Museum, dove due gruppi di pressione sono stati installati: il primo composto da 2 pompe KVC guidate da inverter Active Driver, il secondo composto da 4 pompe KVC che lavorano in on-off a cascata. KVC è uno dei best seller di DAB, essendo tra le pompe più performanti ed efficienti del mercato. Il fatto che DAB possa fornire queste pompe in un gruppo di pressione già assemblato e configurato garantisce la facilità di installazione e la qualità di funzionamento.

Nello stesso edificio è stata installata anche una cisterna Fekafos per la raccolta delle acque reflue. All’interno della tanica, lavorano due pompe di tipo FEKA VS, sia in alternanza che in simultaneità a seconda della quantità di acqua da drenare. L’utilizzo di una doppia pompa all’interno della stessa cisterna è una soluzione comune, poiché:

• permette la funzionalità di back-up in caso di manutenzione su una delle due pompe;
• aumenta la capacità complessiva per picchi di richiesta, senza dover sovradimensionare la tanica.

Tra le altre cose, la pompa FEKA VS è tra i migliori prodotti DAB in termini di affidabilità.

Le scelte operate dal partner installatore De Bie VEBA per quanto riguarda l’impianto idraulico di pressurizzazione e drenaggio dell’edificio sono state tutte operate a regola d’arte. In un museo dell’arte, non avrebbe potuto essere altrimenti!
