It refers to the position of a pump. Overhead means that the pump is at a higher level than the liquid to be aspirated. Underhead means that the pump is at a lower level than the liquid to be aspirated.

Si riferisce alla posizione di una pompa, sopra battente significa che la pompa si trova ad un livello superiore rispetto al liquido da aspirare, sotto battente significa che la pompa si trova ad un livello inferiore rispetto al liquido da aspirare.

"Inrush" means that when starting a pump it will turn the impeller for a few moments faster then usual. It is a normal function, this function reduce the probability that any solid particles deposited during the stop will prevent proper movement.

Per “spunto” si intende quando all’avvio di una pompa questa fa girare la girante per alcuni istanti più velocemente. È un comportamento normale e previsto che serve ad evitare che eventuali particelle solide depositatesi in fase di arresto ne impediscano il corretto movimento.
